Last year my family hosted teenagers from Israel who were affected by what happened on October 7^th 2023.  The visiting Isrealis were funded by an organization called ORT.

ORT America supports education for at-risk Israeli and migrant children inside and outside of Israel.

Our Israelis, Vita and Shahav and the 10 other visitors became like sisters and brothers to me.  While they were staying with us we shared so many stories and went to all of the fast food restaurants that they wanted to visit.  They loved Marshalls and Chick Fillet.  We celebrated Shabbat, toured the city and even took them trick-or-treating for the first time!

For my Mitzvah Project I would like to give back to the community that supports my “family” in Israel.  Please donate or come to my Dance Class on November 1^st!  All donations will go towards afterschool programming for the students in the Kfar Silver Youth Village, 8 miles outside of Gaza and full of hope, learning and connection for Israeli children and teens.
